I am Sohail Sarwar, a financial accountant with a German IHK-recognised commercial qualification. Accounting practice since 2004, self-employed part-time since 2013, running my own bookkeeping service since 2026. I combine day-to-day financial accounting with digital document workflows: Lexware Office, DATEV interface, sevDesk and AI-assisted automation.

Experience

Trained in accounting, hardened in industry

I worked as an accountant and assistant manager accounts in Pakistan, moved to Germany in 2008 and had my qualification recognised by the German Chamber of Commerce (IHK) in 2013. Since 2017 I have worked in automotive manufacturing in Kassel – and never let go of accounting: part-time, for my own businesses and for small companies.

Education: Diploma in Commerce (2003–2005, Government College of Commerce, Gujrat); IHK FOSA equivalence certificate “Bürokaufmann” (2013); currently preparing for the IHK “Bilanzbuchhalter” exam.

Languages: German (fluent, in Germany since 2008), English (very good), Urdu and Punjabi (native).

From phone photo to DATEV hand-over

One continuous process: submit, check, post in Lexware Office, file searchably, hand over DATEV-compatible to the tax advisor in fixed cycles.

Automation

Automatic invoice collection

Invoices are retrieved from mailboxes and supplier portals, checked for duplicates, named consistently and handed to the accounting software.

AI & privacy

Role-based AI assistant system

Fixed roles from management to bookkeeping, with tools for contacts, appointments, KPIs and document checks – run locally and via a GDPR-compliant cloud setup (AWS Bedrock).
